Weld County Extension Office is closed January 1st for New Years Holiday.
Adult volunteer leaders are the heart of the 4-H program. Adult volunteer leaders serve as club organizational leaders, project leaders, resource leaders, activity leaders, coaches and chaperones. There are over 200 enrolled leaders in Weld County 4-H. Leaders have the opportunity to work with members at the local, county, district and state levels.
Leaders help youth grow as an individual, learn life skills through projects, community service, record keeping, evaluation and public speaking.
Explore the vast opportunities available to you!
People volunteer for 4-H for many reasons. You’ll also grow as a person, develop new leadership skills, meet new friends and have great adventures!
Leader’s Council meets the first Tuesday of every even month (except for August and October) at 7:00 p.m. in the Exhibition Building. We encourage all volunteer leaders to attend the meetings!
There are a few State and Regional events volunteer leaders can attend for personal growth or learn new skills.
Weld County 4-H Leaders who are at least 21 years old can be a chaperone to a wide variety of events. Some events may require leaders to fill out an application and do an interview to be a chaperone.
